The American Cancer Society is the primary beneficiary for the Annual Bike Ride Against Cancer. Each year hundreds of cyclists participate in this event to raise funds for the continuing search for a cure in our lifetime. Whether you are a volunteer, sponsor or a participanting cyclist, we are all aware of the devasting effects of this dreadful disease and for those who have been affected we ride in their honor or memory.
Just as in years past, we anticipate a large crowd of cyclists for the 16th Riding of the Bike Ride Against Cancer who will tour the rolling hills of Northwestern Georgia and Southeastern Tennessee. Tree lined roadways of the Chattahoochee National Forest, Historic Red Clay, Picturesque Prater's Mill and charming Cohutta, Georgia await you as you meander some of the prettiest country in the Southeast.

The ride will start and finish in Cohutta, Georgia on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 9:00 am. All rides start in front of the Cohutta Volunteer Fire Department on Red Clay Road. We will have on site registration from 7:30 to 8:45 the day of the event.
The ride is well supported with four SAG's along the entire route, and on the half metric (30 miles), you'll find 3. Out on the course, additional support vehicles will provide assistance to our riders. Pre-registered participants get the best t shirt size selections, so please register early with the American Cancer Society office in Dalton, Georgia. Their fax number is 706-226-7531.
The Cohutta Volunteer Fire Department is cooking lunch for us and you will see why we are back again this year. They will work their magic on some really killer chili and hotdogs.
Come ride with us for a great cause on Saturday, August 19th in Cohutta, Georgia.
